Classically trained. Fiddle fueled.

Bring Kiana's unique approach to your school, university, festival or string program.

An internationally touring fiddler and master educator, Kiana helps musicians bridge the gap between strong classical technique and the creativity, groove, freedom and musical language of traditional fiddle music.

Now booking a limited number of educational engagements spring/summer 2027.

what if great technique were only the beginning?

Kiana knows both sides of the music stand.

Alongside years of classical training and a degree in violin performance from the University of Michigan, she taught herself to fiddle — a journey that ultimately led to an international performing career, four Billboard No. 1 albums, Broadway, and stages around the world.

That experience became the foundation of her teaching philosophy.

Kiana believes musicians shouldn't have to choose between great technique and creative freedom. Her teaching gives string players practical tools to learn by ear, find groove, improvise, understand fiddle style and develop their own musical voice — while building on the technical foundation they already have.

FEATURED RESIDENCY

AN EVENING WITH…

Students don’t just learn from professional musicians. They perform alongside them.

AN EVENING WITH…

Part residency. Part collaboration. Part concert.

Over the course of a residency, Kiana works directly with student musicians on repertoire, style, groove, performance and the experience of making music together. The residency culminates in an evening concert where students take the stage alongside Kiana — or the full Howley band — for their own community.

It’s an opportunity for students to experience what music education can become when the classroom and the professional stage meet.

Each residency is built around the needs of the program and can include workshops, rehearsals, masterclasses, teacher sessions and a culminating public performance.

Available with Kiana solo or the full Howley band.
